Carlton Lakes has contracted with Summit Broadband for fiberoptic TV and internet service which is included in everyone's Master Association quarterly fees.  Landline phone service is available for an additional fee.  

 

Most of our community has been upgraded to a next-generation IPTV (Internet Protocol TV) system called SBBTV, and our old cable system was shut down as of October 30, 2026.  If your unit has still not been upgraded, we encourage you to schedule it as soon as possible by calling Summit at the number below.  Details on SBBTV are also provided below.

SBBTV delivers the following enhancements over the old cable system at no additional cost:

 

•   New, more compact, more advanced set-top boxes.

 

•   New backlit remotes with a “Last” button to return instantly to your previous channel.

 

•   A new Replay TV feature enables every program on most HD channels to be “replayed” for up to 72 hours without having to record them, in addition to 100 hours of DVR space (and more for a small fee).

 

•   A MultiView feature allows you to watch four channels at the same time, select which one provides the audio, and choose one to fill the screen at any time — terrific for simultaneous sports events.

 

 

•   Access to the SBBTV App which enables viewing of many popular streaming platforms on up to five concurrent devices — computers, tablets, smart phones, and third-party streaming devices like Fire Stick — in addition to the TVs in our homes.

 

 

•   Our SBBTV channel lineup includes nearly every station we currently get plus many additional channels, including most of the Paramount channels we lost a year ago, such as TV Land, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, CMT, MTV, and the Paramount Network.

 

•   Easier access to any streaming channels for which you may have paid subscriptions....

 

 

•   Since all TV programming will be delivered by Wi-Fi, it will no longer be necessary to locate TVs near cable outlets.  Your TVs can be located anywhere in your home where Wi-Fi is available.

 

 

•   Summit provides new upgraded routers with Wi-Fi 6E Mesh technology, which will not only power the new SBBTV system but also provide better coverage and more reliable internet throughout our homes.  These Wi-Fi routers have superior network performance and reliability as Wi-Fi 6E is designed to account for other nearby routers, as is often the case in Carlton Lakes, especially in condos.

 

 

•   Upon request, Summit will supply a Wi-Fi 6E extender at no additional cost if needed to ensure full Wi-Fi coverage throughout the home.

 

•   Also at no cost, our network capacity will be upgraded from 1 Gig to 10 Gigs — providing an option for residents to individually subscribe to the higher capacity.
